Pebbles In The Pond? June 25, 2009

images“Pebbles in the pond” describes the effect and affect of a pebble striking a pond’s surface and the radiating concentric circles that occur afterwards. It is my metaphor for my life’s work — dreaming up ideas (the pebbles) and throwing them into society (the pond).

Mahatma Ghandi once said  “You must be the change you want to see in the world”. That change starts from within and ripples outwards — like a pebble in a pond.

I’ve been throwing pebbles in the pond throughout my career. — Dick Bell

I just used the same title for a theological insight. The image applies to all aspects of life. Peace.
